The mission of the Department of Spanish and Global Studies is to enhance students’ intercultural competency, ability to communicate, work, study, and think critically in multiple languages in a global environment. We seek to better equip our students with the mental agility needed to understand ways of thinking that are different from their own as they encounter a diversity of professional and personal relationships, as well as the intellectual and practical challenges of their future careers.
